​Our Story


The Antler Ceilidh Band was formed in 2017. Having performed in other ceilidh bands for several years, bandleader Andrew realised there was a demand for a well-organised, professional ceilidh outfit able to specialise in both traditional Scottish and Irish music and dances. 

Most of the musicians who play in The Antler Ceilidh Band are second or third generation folk musicians who have grown up playing and dancing to traditional music. Consequently, they have just the right feel for ceilidh dancing. 

All of our callers are excellent instrumentalists in their own right, meaning that after the dances have been mastered, they are able to join in with the rest of the band. Our clients often comment on how full even our smaller line-ups sound.
